Henry

Henry is a healthy male cat that is about 2 years old. He was rescued from Sunset Park, Brooklyn and is thoroughly enjoying the indoor life. 

Henry is looking for his forever home, where he can lounge, safely explore, nap, lay in a sunny spot, and be loved! He has wasted no time in showing how affectionate he can be and thrives on routine. While adjusting to his new home he might be quiet at times, ask for space by retiring to a safe place to lay, and then warms up quickly with bursts of chatter and playfulness. 

Henry is very smart, and likes to feel safe and be pampered. He is a great eater and absolutely loves wet food and treats! He likes to be around people, shows independence by enjoying time on his own to groom himself and enjoy his territory. While cordial to other cats, he would much prefer to be the only cat in the house. Because he is still getting to know his indoor life he might seem overstimulated at first and approach a new space with some slight apprehension, but once he gets to know a space, he is very communicative about how comfortable he feels and when he would like to be around people. Henry will sweetly approach you on his own for pets, cuddles, and head bumps. He is very communicative with his body language and will also let you know if he has had enough stimulation with a playful swat. 

He loves his own things, he is a very clean and tidy cat. Henry is also a big fan of catnip and loves to roll in. He is still getting used to what toys are, but has shown great interest in cardboard scratchers, tunnels and cat wands with a feather or mouse attachment. 

Henry would be a great companion to anyone that works from home or has a hybrid schedule. He is looking for his humans who would give him lots of love and can respect his individual space. He will surely thrive, and bring a lot of joy to his new human companion(s), he would love to live securely in a space where he can become his full self. A wellness blood test and physical exam shows he has great teeth and a clean bill of health!

• Favorite past time: Window watching, napping in sunny spots, and catnip

• Favorite toy: Cat wand toy that imitates hunting with feather or mouse attachment, cat tunnels

This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.
