All About Chex

Chex is a dream of a cat! The perfect relaxed companion, she wants nothing more than to peacefully sit near you, enjoy her wet food, explore cardboard boxes, and receive the frequent pets that she rightfully deserves. Chex is a tiny 13-year old lady with a youthful spirit. She doesn’t care much for playing with toy mice or chasing a laser, but she adores taking naps on the bed and following her favorite humans around to see what they’re getting up to. Chex has an adorable croaky meow, which she likes to use to greet you when you come home, or to remind you that she wants to cuddle.

Chex would make an excellent fit for anyone who is looking for a loving yet independent cat. Although she prefers to spend time with her humans, she has no problem entertaining herself for hours (AKA finding a new spot to take a nap).

Although not a fan of other cats, Chex is a big fan of people and will warm up quickly. She might even ask for pets on the car ride home. You’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger lovebug than Chex!

Chex was rescued with dental issues and had surgery. We would be thrilled for a potential adopter to provide a larger adoption donation (between $250 and $400 total) and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible.

This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and would benefit from an echocardiogram — we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost ($430 total) in lieu of an adoption donation.

This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
