Phoebe

Phoebe is a healthy female cat that is about 10 months to 1 year old. She was rescued from Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Phoebe is a calico patterned cat that lives true to her nature. She is playful, loving, gentle, responsive, and a very intelligent cat. This girl is ready to explore and is not afraid to show her independent spirit when encountering a new environment. Phoebe is also a very communicative cat that shows distinct and charming mannerisms when trying to get your attention. For example, she will gently paw at you for a pat on the head, ask for chin scratches, and happily supervise you while going about your daily business. She is looking for her forever home that can nurture these personality traits.

Phoebe truly enjoys her playtime sessions and will repay you with plenty of biscuits when she’s done playing! Since she is a young cat, it is very important that her forever home provide her with plenty of attention, and use positive reinforcement as she gets to know the boundaries of indoor life. Interactive play makes a wonderful opportunity for bonding and building a trusting relationship. Phoebe has also shown interest in reaching vertical spaces, which allows her to explore new heights while feeling safe. A cat tree and cat shelves have been very enriching for her and she hopes her new home could have them as well.

Phoebe has a keen fondness of water, a unique trait that all cat parents would be thankful for! Her wellness and bloodwork exams confirm that she has a clean bill of health. She loves fountains with spout-type delivery, where the water flows like a faucet. She is a very tidy cat and prefers the water is kept sparkling clean. This preference is truly a major bonus for her adopters because staying properly hydrated is so important for a cat’s long term health and Phoebe is already on top of it!

While her young life may have started outdoors, Phoebe has really shown that she is ready for a forever home. She will let you know her likes and dislikes, claim her favorite spots, and most of all will surely grow up to be a very sweet and loyal companion. Phoebe is still getting used to a variety of flavors and textures that different wet cat foods and treats come in. She enjoys chicken shreds and appreciates a quiet meal time while she eats.
