Back to Our Cats

Domestic Short Hair | 3 Years 1 Month | Male

Junius used to spend his days following passers by rushing to and from the subway, hoping for a meal. Like too many abandoned former pets, this big sweet boy was struggling to survive on a busy Brooklyn street. Local feeders and rescuers noticed that he had open wounds, a respiratory infection, and his ears were a mess. They scooped him up and brought him to our rescue clinic, where he was treated and sent to a foster home to recuperate. These days, Junius finds himself enjoying plentiful food, chasing glittery wands, reclining on warm, soft beds, and destroying catnip filled bananas. His wounds are healing, along with his soul, as he patiently awaits his forever home.

Junius is very sweet and will rub against your legs and accept pets and scritches, but he definitely has some single-kitten kind of issues, such as grabbing with claws and biting (but not too hard). He needs to be adopted into an experienced cat household and with a feline friend to help keep him in line.
