Parfum
Domestic Short Hair | 13 Years 11 Months | Male
No need for alarm clocks when you have the cuddly and French gentleman Parfum to wake you with head rubs and belly biscuits!
Extremely affectionate is an understatement. From morning to night, Parfum loves all kinds of cuddles and will follow you to the ends of the earth for a chin scratch. Enjoying chin scritches, belly rubs, and being held, this grown man prefers to live his life as your baby boy. His love for attention extends to all visitors - he has no problems with strangers, immediately asking any offered hand for pets.
An excellent conversationalist, Parfum loves to chat. In the mornings, as soon as he senses you’re stirring, he’ll shuffle from his cozy place nearby to rub his head against yours and politely as for morning pets and breakfast. Throughout the day he’ll sleep nearby. He enjoys having his very own bed beneath his foster mom’s desk so he can keep an eye on her during work. Occasionally he’ll even request lap time! Lounging on the couch? Parfum is there with you, enjoying a cushy blanket or an abandoned clothing item.
Around meal times he can surprise you with a few zoomies and pounces from each end of the apartment. He’s even been spotted chasing his own tail, but quickly stopped upon being observed. The best boy is the gentlest and enjoys sleeping on top of his emotional support drumstick (toy) or scratching his designated cardboard pad.
At the end of a day filled with love, when it’s time for human sleep, he deeply enjoys coming to bed with you and taking up space (as he should!); sleeping close to the edge, on top of feet, or alongside. If he’s not talking, listen closely - you’ll almost always hear him purring. He’s a true angel on earth!
Parfum was rescued with dental issues and is in need of surgery. In lieu of an adoption fee, we would be thrilled for a potential adopter to for a larger adoption donation and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible.
This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and had an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost in lieu of an adoption donation.
This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
