Maui (aka “Meowy”) is a very chill and easy-going cat. He was rescued between the FDR and East River walk on Christmas Eve and was the best present. When he is feeling social, he is incredibly affectionate and will rub up against legs and purr very loudly! He LOVES to cuddle up on the couch and watch Netflix, and eat pretty much throughout the day (don’t we all??). He really enjoys pigeon-watching through the window and playing with a string/rope when he’s feeling inclined to do so.

He loves to be pet and scritched on his head and shoulders on his own terms, but can get overly stimulated. He doesn’t like to be touched on his hind side or tail and may communicate with a swat, hiss or a soft bite but never has caused any damage from it.
