Jemma

Domestic Short Hair | 5 Years 2 Months | Female

If you're lucky enough to be with Jemma, you might just be in the company of the Sweetest Cat in the World. This very shy baby has had some trauma in her past, but she's been getting ready for the good life. She will take some time getting to know you and her new home, but once she settles in, she will hop to get pets on her head, and completely give in to your hand when you scratch her cheeks. She will also give you some of her trademark silent meows when she is excited about food and treats!

Some fun things about Jemma: she is as smol as she is gremlin, with her snorgling noises when she eats and sleeps. She will protect you from predators when you go to the bathroom. She has bleps and mlems for nearly any occasion. And she often has an unamused look about her, like Badtz-Maru, the nonplussed penguin in the Hello Kitty universe.

Jemma has sight issues that will need monitoring, but she has no trouble at all finding her litter box or food, navigating around a home, or finding her human for pets. This shy sweetheart's ideal person is gentle, patient, respectful of kitty boundaries, and nurturing—these traits are sure to coax her out of her shell, and unlock even more loveliness in time.

Jemma was rescued with dental issues and had dental surgery. In lieu of an adoption fee, we would be thrilled for a potential adopter to for a larger adoption donation and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible.

This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and had an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost in lieu of an adoption donation.

This cat is FIV+ and will live a normal healthy and long life when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exams (like any cat). As FIV+ is not transmittable between neutered/spayed cats under normal circumstances, we are happy for FIV+ cats to mingle with FIV- cats in their adoptive homes.
